This photograph is taken in the late fall from a ridge near Pine Hollow in central Wasco County Oregon. It is a view similar to what travelers on the Oregon Trail would have seen upon approaching the final obstacle to their arrival in Oregon City. After months of hardships and only around 100 miles to go, this is what was in their way.
The Second photo is taken in the spring over an apple orchard in the Hood River Valley.
