| Pacific Ocean - Oregon Coast |
The first 4 photos here were taken at Arch Cape, just south of Cannon Beach on the Northern Oregon Coast on New Years weekend 2006-2007. The top two photos are actually taken in the same place on different days with different lenses. The tree featured in both is the same tree.
The name Pacific as applied to an ocean is supposedly derived from Pax, the word for peace. Although broken clouds were the order of the day and no particular storm was in progress, the waves are anything but friendly.
