The Evening Grosbeak is one of the larger finches. They are notable for their large bill for cracking seeds. Often seen in flocks during the winter in particular on gravel roads eating gravel. The male has a dark head with yellow eyebrows. Some white in the mid back region with black on the sides and lower back.

Preferred Diet: seeds and insects, likes seed feeders.
